Civil & Hydraulic Engineer focused on water infrastructure.
I am Hossein Aghaee, a civil and hydraulic engineer specializing in water distribution networks, hydraulic modelling, leakage reduction, non-revenue water, pressure management and hydrological modelling.
Professional focus
My work combines hydraulic modelling, field monitoring, GIS and data analysis to understand the behaviour of water distribution systems and support practical decisions in calibration, DMA restructuring, leakage reduction and pressure management.
My hydraulic-modelling portfolio spans approximately 2,150 km of water-distribution networks in Italy, including the highlighted ~250 km Desenzano del Garda project and approximately 1,900 km of other modelling, calibration and network-optimization projects.
Hydraulic engineering
I work with water distribution models using MIKE+, InfoWorks WS Pro, WaterGEMS and EPANET, including demand-driven and pressure-driven modelling, calibration against field measurements and analysis of operational scenarios.
Hydrology and flood modelling
My research experience includes HEC-HMS rainfall-runoff modelling and flood forecasting in the Brembo River Basin in Northern Italy.
Education
