Water Resource Management & Hydraulic Modelling

At Enydros, I work on hydraulic modelling, calibration, field monitoring and leakage reduction across multiple water and wastewater network projects in Italy.

My broader project portfolio spans approximately 7,600 km of network across 96 municipalities. My work includes demand-driven and pressure-driven modelling, pressure and flow monitoring, SCADA and GIS analysis, DMA assessment, valve and PRV strategies, and pressure management.

In Desenzano del Garda, I led modelling and calibration for a leakage-reduction initiative across an approximately 250 km distribution network. The proposed interventions are modelled to reduce losses by 24 L/s (~700,000 m³/year) and are now being implemented by the utility.

On a separate 5,442.6 km project, I reconstructed missing network asset data, reducing unknown or missing asset data from 32.4% to 1.55%.

My hydraulic-modelling portfolio spans approximately 2,150 km of water-distribution networks in Italy, including the highlighted ~250 km Desenzano del Garda project and approximately 1,900 km of other modelling, calibration and network-optimization projects.

Hydrological Modelling & Flood Forecasting

I performed rainfall–runoff modelling for the Brembo River Basin, an area of more than 800 km², using eleven years of rainfall, meteorological and discharge observations.

I built, calibrated and validated HEC-HMS models supported by QGIS pre-processing, Curve Number optimization, scenario testing and uncertainty analysis.

The modelling achieved 97% agreement with observed peak discharge. The work supported flood-forecasting and early-warning activities and was subsequently published in the Journal of Flood Risk Management.

Engineering Operations, R&D and Project Coordination

Earlier in my career I coordinated production orders and engineering workflows for automatic drip-irrigation systems while working between customers, technical teams and production planning.

I led and trained a 15-person R&D engineering team and helped standardize procedures from design through production.

These workflow improvements contributed to a 40% increase in output and a 30% reduction in processing time, supporting irrigation systems covering approximately 120,000 hectares.
